Distance dependent statistics in a P,T-invariant model
E.V.Gorbar, S.V.Mashkevich

TL;DR
This paper demonstrates that in a P,T-invariant model with a mixed Chern-Simons term, the effective statistics of charge carriers change with distance, causing fermions to behave as bosons at large separations.
Contribution
It introduces a model where charge carrier statistics depend on distance, revealing a novel distance-dependent statistical transmutation in a P,T-invariant framework.
Findings
Charge carriers' statistics change with distance in the model.
Fermions effectively become bosons at large distances.
The model preserves P,T-invariance while allowing statistical transmutation.
Abstract
It is shown that in the P,T-invariant model with the mixed Chern-Simons term the interaction of charge carriers leads to effective changing of their statistics, which depends on distance between them. In particular, in the limit of large distances fermions effectively turn into bosons.
