On the Infrared Limit of Two Dimensional QCD
A.J. Niemi, P. Pasanen

TL;DR
This paper investigates the infrared behavior of two-dimensional QCD with massless fermions, revealing it simplifies to a spin Calogero model with a magnetic coupling, providing insights into its low-energy dynamics.
Contribution
It introduces a novel reduction of 2D QCD to a spin Calogero model with magnetic interactions, expanding understanding of its infrared limit.
Findings
QCD reduces to a spin Calogero model in the infrared
Identification of a Pauli-type magnetic coupling in the reduced model
Provides a new perspective on low-energy dynamics of 2D QCD
Abstract
We study the infrared limit of two dimensional QCD, with massless dynamical Dirac fermions that are in the fundamental representation of the gauge group. We find that the theory reduces to a spin generalization of the Calogero model with an additional magnetic coupling which is of the Pauli type.
