Landau gauge within the Gribov horizon
Nicola Maggiore, Martin Schaden

TL;DR
This paper investigates a model that restricts the Yang-Mills functional integral to the fundamental modular region in Landau gauge, demonstrating it shares divergences with standard Yang-Mills theory and maintains unitarity.
Contribution
It provides an algebraic proof that the restricted model has the same divergences as ordinary Yang-Mills theory and is unitary, interpreting the restriction as spontaneous BRS symmetry breaking.
Findings
The model shares divergences with standard Yang-Mills theory.
The model is proven to be unitary.
Restriction interpreted as spontaneous BRS symmetry breaking.
Abstract
We consider a model which effectively restricts the functional integral of Yang--Mills theories to the fundamental modular region. Using algebraic arguments, we prove that this theory has the same divergences as ordinary Yang Mills theory in the Landau gauge and that it is unitary. The restriction of the functional integral is interpreted as a kind of spontaneous breakdown of the symmetry.
