Abelian Current Algebra and the Virasoro Algebra on the Lattice
L. Faddeev, A.Yu. Volkov

TL;DR
This paper introduces a lattice version of the abelian current algebra and demonstrates how it leads to a lattice Virasoro algebra with associated conservation laws, bridging continuous symmetries and discrete models.
Contribution
It presents a novel lattice construction of the Virasoro algebra derived from abelian current algebra, connecting algebraic structures with discrete integrable systems.
Findings
Lattice analogue of abelian current algebra constructed
Lattice Virasoro algebra derived from current algebra
Hierarchy of conservation laws established on the lattice
Abstract
We describe how a natural lattice analogue of the abelian current algebra combined with free discrete time dynamics gives rise to the lattice Virasoro algebra and corresponding hierarchy of conservation laws.
