TL;DR
This paper explores a potential exact duality between the Abelian Higgs model and a scalar vortex theory in 2+1 dimensions, analyzing their fixed point structures and interactions.
Contribution
It proposes a novel candidate for an exact continuum duality between scalar QED3 and a vortex scalar theory, linking their fixed points and interaction structures.
Findings
Identifies a possible exact duality between Abelian Higgs model and vortex scalar theory.
Maps fixed point structures between the two models.
Analyzes the strong coupling limit and current-current interactions.
Abstract
We discuss a possible exact equivalence of the Abelian Higgs model and a scalar theory of a magnetic vortex field in 2+1 dimensions. The vortex model has a current - current interaction and can be viewed as a strong coupling limit of a massive vector theory. The fixed point structure of the theory is discussed and mapped into fixed points of the Higgs model.
