J. Ambjorn, S. Jain, J. Jurkiewicz, C.F. Kristjansen

TL;DR
This paper investigates the fractal structure of four-dimensional quantum gravity by analyzing baby universes, providing insights into the critical behavior and entropy of 4D manifolds.
Contribution
It introduces a method to measure the fractal structure of 4D quantum gravity using baby universes, linking geometric properties to critical exponents.
Findings
Determined the critical exponent gamma related to 4D manifold entropy.
Established a connection between baby universes and fractal geometry in quantum gravity.
Provided a new approach to analyze the structure of 4D quantum spacetime.
Abstract
We measure the fractal structure of four dimensional simplicial quantum gravity by identifying so-called baby universes. This allows an easy determination of the critical exponent connected to the entropy of four-dimensional manifolds.
