We Are Not Stuck With Gluing
David N. Yetter, Louis Crane

TL;DR
This paper compares two different mathematical constructions related to 4D manifolds, showing that they produce different results and highlighting the non-uniqueness of certain invariants.
Contribution
It demonstrates that the authors' construction differs from Ocneanu's, providing manifold-dependent results instead of a universal value.
Findings
Our construction yields different numbers for different 4D manifolds.
Ocneanu's construction always produces the number 1.
The two constructions are not equivalent.
Abstract
We show that the construction of Ocneanu, which yields 1 for any 4D manifold, is not identical to our construction, which gives different numbers for different manifolds.
