S. Mukhi, C. Vafa, E. Frenkel

TL;DR
This paper demonstrates that a specific superconformal coset model is equivalent to a $c=1$ string theory coupled to 2D gravity, enabling exact correlation function calculations and linking to a twisted 2D black hole model.
Contribution
It establishes a novel equivalence between a superconformal coset and $c=1$ string theory, facilitating exact computations and connecting to black hole models.
Findings
Correlation functions computed for all genus and nonzero cosmological constant.
Agreement with matrix model results.
Connection to a twisted Euclidean 2D black hole model.
Abstract
We show that a special superconformal coset (with ) is equivalent to matter coupled to two dimensional gravity. This identification allows a direct computation of the correlation functions of the non-critical string to all genus, and at nonzero cosmological constant, directly from the continuum approach. The results agree with those of the matrix model. Moreover we connect our coset with a twisted version of a Euclidean two dimensional black hole, in which the ghost and matter systems are mixed.
