Twistor-Like Formulation of Heterotic Strings
M. Tonin

TL;DR
This paper reviews new twistor-like formulations of heterotic strings involving commuting spinors, which exhibit extended world sheet and target space supersymmetry, offering a geometric interpretation of kappa-symmetry in various dimensions.
Contribution
It introduces novel formulations of heterotic strings with commuting spinors that unify world sheet and target space supersymmetry, providing a geometric perspective on kappa-symmetry.
Findings
Models in D=10 for n=1,2,8 are explicitly discussed.
The formulations exhibit extended world sheet supersymmetry.
The models demonstrate invariance under target space supersymmetry.
Abstract
In this talk new formulations of the Green--Schwarz heterotic strings in dimensions that involve commuting spinors, are reviewed. These models are invariant under --extended, world sheet supersymmetry as well as under , target space supersymmetry where and . The world sheet supersymmetry replaces components (and provides a geometrical meaning) of the --symmetry in the Green--Schwarz approach. The models in for are discussed explicitly.
