A Simple Method for Computing Soliton Statistics
Donald Spector

TL;DR
This paper presents a straightforward method to determine the fermionic or bosonic nature of solitons using the Witten index, applicable even in non-supersymmetric theories.
Contribution
It introduces a simple argument based on the Witten index to compute soliton statistics, extending its applicability beyond supersymmetric models.
Findings
Solitons in certain theories are fermionic.
The method applies to non-supersymmetric theories.
Provides a simple way to determine soliton statistics.
Abstract
I provide an extremely simple argument that the kink-type solitons in certain theories are fermionic. The argument is based on the Witten index, but can in fact be used to determine soliton statistics in non-supersymmetric theories as well.
