R. Ferraro, M. Henneaux, M. Puchin

TL;DR
This paper investigates the quantization of reducible gauge theories with linear constraints, establishing the equivalence of various quantization methods and highlighting the importance of ghosts of ghosts.
Contribution
It demonstrates the equivalence of reduced phase space, Dirac, and BRST quantizations for reducible gauge systems with linear constraints, emphasizing ghosts of ghosts.
Findings
Equivalence of quantization methods proven
Ghosts of ghosts are essential in the proof
Quantization of reducible gauge theories achieved
Abstract
Reducible gauge theories with constraints linear in the momenta are quantized. The equivalence of the reduced phase space quantization, Dirac quantization and BRST quantization is established. The ghosts of ghosts are found to play a crucial role in the equivalence proof.
