Hidden Isometry in a Chiral Gauged WZW Model
Supriya Kar, Alok Kumar, Gautam Sengupta

TL;DR
This paper demonstrates that asymmetric chiral gauging of WZW models produces consistent string backgrounds and reveals a hidden isometry, connecting asymmetric and symmetric models through a nonlinear coordinate transformation.
Contribution
It uncovers a hidden isometry in a specific chiral gauged WZW model and relates asymmetric and symmetric models via a nonlinear transformation.
Findings
Identification of a hidden isometry in the background.
Transformation linking asymmetric and symmetric models.
Validation of the consistency of asymmetric gauged models.
Abstract
It is shown that the asymmetric chiral gauging of the WZW models give rise to consistent string backgrounds. The target space structure of the model is analyzed and the presence of a hidden isometry in this background is demonstrated. A nonlinear coordinate transformation is obtained which transforms the asymmetric model to the symmetric one, analyzed recently by two of the present authors.
