L. Alvarez-Gaume, J.L.F. Barbon, C. Crnkovic

TL;DR
This paper explores the theoretical properties of string models in higher-dimensional space-time using large-N Quantum Field Theory techniques, focusing on susceptibilities, loop operators, and 1/N corrections.
Contribution
It introduces a reduced formulation for studying strings in dimensions greater than one within large-N QFT, providing new insights into their properties.
Findings
Analysis of string susceptibilities in higher dimensions
Evaluation of macroscopic loop operators
Assessment of 1/N corrections and their effects
Abstract
Using the reduced formulation on large-N Quantum Field Theories we study strings in space-time dimensions higher that one. We present results on possible string susceptibilities, macroscopic loop operators, 1/N -corrections and other general properties of the model.
