A Proposal for $D>1$ Strings?
L. Alvarez-Gaume, J.L.F. Barbon

TL;DR
This paper explores the theoretical possibility of string models in higher-dimensional space-time using large-N Quantum Field Theory, presenting initial findings on their susceptibilities and properties.
Contribution
It introduces a reduced formulation approach to study strings in dimensions greater than one, offering preliminary insights into their behavior and characteristics.
Findings
Initial results on string susceptibilities in higher dimensions
Identification of general properties of the proposed models
Foundational framework for future research in higher-dimensional strings
Abstract
Using the reduced formulation of large-N Quantum Field Theories we study strings in space-time dimensions higher than one. Some preliminary results concerning the possible string susceptibilities and general properties of the model are presented.
