N=2 String as a Topological Conformal Algebra
J. Gomis, H. Suzuki

TL;DR
This paper demonstrates that critical and subcritical N=2 string theories realize an N=2 superfield extension of the topological conformal algebra, emphasizing the role of background charge vanishing.
Contribution
It establishes a novel connection between N=2 string theories and topological conformal algebras through superfield extensions.
Findings
Realization of N=2 superfield extension in string theory
Background charge vanishes in critical/subcritical cases
Provides insight into algebraic structure of N=2 strings
Abstract
We prove that critical and subcritical N=2 string theory gives a realization of an N=2 superfield extension of the topological conformal algebra. The essential observation is the vanishing of the background charge.
