Twisting Classical Solutions in Heterotic String Theory
S. F. Hassan, Ashoke Sen

TL;DR
This paper introduces a method using $O(d) imes O(d+p)$ transformations to generate new classical solutions in heterotic string theory, enabling the construction of black 6-branes with diverse charge configurations.
Contribution
It demonstrates how to produce new heterotic string solutions via specific symmetry transformations, expanding the set of known black brane configurations.
Findings
Constructed black 6-branes with independent electric, magnetic, and tensor charges.
Developed a transformation technique to generate solutions with different charge orientations.
Extended the solution space of heterotic string theory with new classical configurations.
Abstract
We show that, given a classical solution of the heterotic string theory which is independent of of the space time directions, and for which the gauge field configuration lies in a subgroup that commutes with of the generators of the gauge group, there is an transformation, which, acting on the solution, generates new classical solutions of the theory. With the help of these transformations we construct black 6-brane solutions in ten dimensional heterotic string theory carrying independent magnetic, electric and antisymmetric tensor gauge field charge, by starting from a black 6-brane solution that carries magnetic charge but no electric or antisymmetric tensor gauge field charge. The electric and the magnetic charges point in different directions in the gauge group.
