Yutaka Baba, Nobuyuki Ishibashi, Koichi Murakami

TL;DR
This paper defines BRST invariant observables in OSp invariant closed string field theory and demonstrates that their correlation functions reproduce light-cone gauge string S-matrix elements.
Contribution
It introduces BRST invariant observables in OSp invariant string field theory and shows their correlation functions match known light-cone gauge results.
Findings
Correlation functions of observables reproduce light-cone gauge S-matrix elements
BRST invariance is established for the defined observables
Provides a bridge between covariant and light-cone string field theories
Abstract
We define BRST invariant observables in the OSp invariant closed string field theory for bosonic strings. We evaluate correlation functions of these observables and show that the S-matrix elements derived from them coincide with those of the light-cone gauge string field theory.
