Supertwistor formulation for higher dimensional superstrings
D.V. Uvarov

TL;DR
This paper develops a supertwistor-based formulation for superstrings in 6 and 10 dimensions, generalizing 4D supertwistors, and demonstrates how gauge fixing simplifies the action to known forms.
Contribution
It introduces a supertwistor formulation for higher-dimensional superstrings and derives their equations of motion and symmetries, extending the 4D supertwistor approach.
Findings
Superstring action expressed in supertwistor variables in 6 and 10 dimensions.
Kappa-symmetry gauge fixing reduces the action to quadratic form.
Remaining symmetries lead to the light-cone gauge Green-Schwarz superstring.
Abstract
Considered is the formulation for the superstring action in 6 and 10 dimensions involving supertwistor variables that appropriately generalize 4-dimensional Ferber supertwistors. Equations of motion and kappa-symmetry transformations in terms of the supertwistors are derived. It is shown that covariant kappa-symmetry gauge fixing reduces superstring action to the quadratic one with respect to supertwistors. Upon gauge fixing remaining symmetries it can be cast into the form of the light-cone gauge Green-Schwarz superstring action.
