Hawking temperature from tunnelling formalism
P. Mitra

TL;DR
This paper clarifies how to derive the standard Hawking temperature using the tunnelling formalism, resolving previous discrepancies where the temperature was calculated as double the accepted value.
Contribution
It demonstrates a method to correctly obtain the standard Hawking temperature within the tunnelling approach, correcting earlier overestimations.
Findings
Standard Hawking temperature derived from tunnelling formalism
Resolution of previous overestimation issue
Clarification of tunnelling method validity
Abstract
It has recently been suggested that the attempt to understand Hawking radiation as tunnelling across black hole horizons produces a Hawking temperature double the standard value. It is explained here how one can obtain the standard value in the same tunnelling approach.
