Riccardo Catena, Massimo Pietroni, Luca Scarabello

TL;DR
This paper develops a formalism in scalar-tensor cosmology that ensures all physical observables are invariant under local unit transformations, clarifying the Einstein and Jordan frame equivalence in a cosmological context.
Contribution
It introduces a new formalism for frame-invariant observables in scalar-tensor cosmology, extending Dicke's local unit transformation concept to a cosmological framework.
Findings
Constructed a frame-invariant formalism for cosmological observables
Clarified the physical equivalence of Einstein and Jordan frames in cosmology
Application to CMB codes under analysis
Abstract
The physical equivalence of Einstein and Jordan frame in Scalar Tensor theories has been explained by Dicke in 1962: they are related by a local transformation of units. We discuss this point in a cosmological framework. Our main result is the construction of a formalism in which all the physical observables are frame-invariant. The application of this approach to CMB codes is at present under analysis.
