Gauge Invariance and Fractional Statistics
A. R. P. Lima, R. R. Landim

TL;DR
This paper introduces a novel (2+1)-dimensional field theory that exhibits exotic statistics and fractional spin by redefining the gauge field, revealing new properties and alternative implementation methods.
Contribution
The work presents a new field theory with gauge redefinition techniques that demonstrate fractional statistics and spin, expanding understanding of gauge invariance in lower dimensions.
Findings
New properties of the redefined gauge field are identified.
Alternative methods of field redefinition yield consistent results.
The theory demonstrates exotic statistics and fractional spin in (2+1) dimensions.
Abstract
We present a new -dimensional field theory showing exotic statistics and fractional spin. This theory is achieved through a redefinition of the gauge field . New properties are found. Another way to implement the field redefinition is used with the same results obtained.
