Shabnam Beheshti, Floyd L. Williams

TL;DR
This paper establishes an explicit mathematical mapping between static soliton solutions and black hole metrics in 2D dilaton gravity, enhancing the understanding of their correspondence.
Contribution
It introduces a new explicit map that connects soliton solutions to black hole metrics, extending previous correspondences in 2D dilaton gravity.
Findings
Explicit soliton-black hole map constructed
Enhances understanding of soliton and black hole correspondence
Extends Cadoni and Gegenberg-Kunstatter correspondences
Abstract
We construct an explicit map that transforms static, generalized sine-Gordon metrics to black hole type metrics. This, in particular, provides for a further description of the Cadoni correspondence (which extends the Gegenberg-Kunstatter correspondence) of soliton solutions and extremal black hole solutions in 2D dilaton gravity.
