A supersymmetric matrix model: II. Exploring higher-fermion-number sectors
G. Veneziano, J. Wosiek

TL;DR
This paper investigates higher-fermion-number sectors in a supersymmetric matrix model, confirming previous predictions and revealing new bosonic ground states at strong coupling, thus advancing understanding of the model's vacuum structure.
Contribution
It provides a detailed analysis of fermion sectors F=2 and 3, identifying the emergence of two new bosonic ground states at strong coupling and explaining their origin.
Findings
Confirmation of previous expectations in fermion sectors F=2 and 3.
Discovery of two new bosonic ground states at strong coupling.
Elucidation of the origin of new SUSY vacua via strong coupling expansion.
Abstract
Continuing our previous analysis of a supersymmetric quantum-mechanical matrix model, we study in detail the properties of its sectors with fermion number F=2 and 3. We confirm all previous expectations, modulo the appearance, at strong coupling, of {\it two} new bosonic ground states causing a further jump in Witten's index across a previously identified critical 't Hooft coupling . We are able to elucidate the origin of these new SUSY vacua by considering the limit and a strong coupling expansion around it.
