Contribution
It introduces a new recursive framework for calculating string amplitudes in perturbation theory, applicable to diverse backgrounds.
Findings
Recursion relations valid to all orders in perturbation theory
Extension of results to strings in plane wave backgrounds
Framework simplifies calculations of string scattering amplitudes
Abstract
Using light cone string field theory we derive recursion relations for closed string correlation functions and scattering amplitudes which hold to all orders in perturbation theory. These results extend to strings in a plane wave background.
