Y. Brihaye, E. Radu

TL;DR
This paper introduces new five-dimensional Einstein-Yang-Mills black hole solutions with squashed horizons, which are asymptotically locally flat and feature both nonabelian and U(1) magnetic charges, offering novel insights into higher-dimensional gravity.
Contribution
The paper provides the first explicit solutions of 5D Einstein-Yang-Mills black holes with squashed horizons and mixed magnetic charges, expanding the understanding of higher-dimensional black hole configurations.
Findings
Solutions are asymptotically locally flat
Horizons are squashed and have a fiber bundle topology
Black holes carry both nonabelian and U(1) magnetic charges
Abstract
We present new solutions of the Einstein-Yang-Mills theory describing black holes with squashed horizons. These configurations are asymptotically locally flat and have a boundary topology of a fibre bundle . In a picture, they describe black hole solutions with both nonabelian and U(1) magnetic charges.
