Brane Inflation After WMAP Three Year Results
Qing-Guo Huang, Miao Li, Jian-Huang She

TL;DR
This paper analyzes how recent WMAP three-year data constrains brane inflation models, showing that the KKLMMT model requires significant fine-tuning to fit the observations.
Contribution
It provides the first detailed constraint of brane inflation models using WMAP three-year data, highlighting the need for fine-tuning in the KKLMMT model.
Findings
KKLMMT model cannot fit WMAP+SDSS data within 1 standard deviation.
A fine-tuning of at least eight parts in a thousand is necessary at 2 standard deviations.
WMAP data imposes stringent constraints on inflationary model parameters.
Abstract
WMAP three-year data favors a red power spectrum at the level of 2 standard deviations, which provides a stringent constraint on the inflation models. In this note we use this data to constrain brane inflation models and find that KKLMMT model can not fit WMAP+SDSS data at the level of 1 standard deviation and a fine-tuning, eight parts in thousand at least, is needed at the level of 2 standard deviation.
