Contribution
It introduces a D5-brane approach to compute Wilson loops in anti-symmetric representation, providing a new holographic perspective and confirming matrix model results.
Findings
Agreement with Gaussian matrix model calculations
Validation of D5-brane method for Wilson loops
Enhanced understanding of holographic duals in AdS/CFT
Abstract
We use a D5-brane with electric flux in AdS_5 x S^5 background to calculate the circular Wilson loop of anti-symmetric representation in N=4 super Yang-Mills theory in 4 dimensions. The result agrees with the Gaussian matrix model calculation.
