Twist Field as Three String Interaction Vertex in Light Cone String Field Theory
Isao Kishimoto, Sanefumi Moriyama, Shunsuke Teraguchi

TL;DR
This paper explores the connection between the twist field in matrix string theory and the three-string interaction vertex in light-cone string field theory, showing that the vertex reproduces key operator product expansions.
Contribution
It demonstrates that the three-string interaction vertex can replicate important OPEs of the twist field, linking matrix string theory with light-cone string field theory.
Findings
The three-string vertex reproduces key OPEs of the twist field.
A close relation between matrix string theory and light-cone string field theory is established.
The study clarifies the role of the twist field as a three-string interaction vertex.
Abstract
It has been suggested that matrix string theory and light-cone string field theory are closely related. In this paper, we investigate the relation between the twist field, which represents string interactions in matrix string theory, and the three-string interaction vertex in light-cone string field theory carefully. We find that the three-string interaction vertex can reproduce some of the most important OPEs satisfied by the twist field.
