TL;DR
This paper introduces a novel kinematical formulation for the spin of bosonic strings, deriving an explicit expression for the string spin vector by leveraging an analogy with spinning particles.
Contribution
It presents the first analytical derivation of the bosonic string's spin vector using a new kinematical approach based on string-particle analogy.
Findings
Derived an explicit expression for the string spin vector.
Established a kinematical framework linking string motion and spinning particles.
Provided foundational insights for understanding string spin properties.
Abstract
Exploiting the strict analogy between the motion of strings and extended-like spinning particles, we propose an original kinematical formulation of the spin of bosonic strings and give, for the first time, an analytical derivation of an explicit expression of the string spin vector.
