Lara B Anderson, Adam B Barrett, Andre Lukas

TL;DR
This paper constructs a supersymmetric M-theory model on the orbifold C^2/Z_N by coupling supergravity with a seven-dimensional Yang-Mills theory, enabling further reductions on G_2 spaces with singularities.
Contribution
It introduces a new supersymmetric action for M-theory on C^2/Z_N by coupling supergravity to a Yang-Mills theory on the orbifold fixed plane.
Findings
The action is supersymmetric to leading order in the Newton constant.
Provides a foundation for reducing M-theory on G_2 spaces with singularities.
Abstract
We construct M-theory on the orbifold C^2/Z_N by coupling 11-dimensional supergravity to a seven-dimensional Yang-Mills theory located on the orbifold fixed plane. It is shown that the resulting action is supersymmetric to leading non-trivial order in the 11-dimensional Newton constant. This action provides the starting point for a reduction of M-theory on G_2 spaces with co-dimension four singularities.
