Akira Ishida, Yoonbai Kim, Seyen Kouwn

TL;DR
This paper investigates the decay process of unstable Dp-branes using boundary string field theory, identifying three types of homogeneous rolling tachyons with and without electromagnetic fields.
Contribution
It introduces three new homogeneous rolling tachyon solutions in boundary string field theory, including cases with electromagnetic fields.
Findings
Identified three types of homogeneous rolling tachyon solutions.
Analyzed effects of Born-Infeld electromagnetic fields on tachyon decay.
Provided insights into D-brane decay dynamics.
Abstract
We study decay of a flat unstable D-brane in the context of boundary string field theory action. Three types of homogeneous rolling tachyons are obtained without and with Born-Infeld type electromagnetic field.
