Symmetric discrete quotients of supersymmetric Hpp-waves and spin structures
Hannu J. Rajaniemi

TL;DR
This paper investigates how different spin structures affect the preservation of supersymmetry in symmetric M-theory backgrounds derived from Hpp-waves through discrete quotients.
Contribution
It analyzes the role of spin structures in supersymmetry preservation for quotient backgrounds of supersymmetric Hpp-waves in M-theory.
Findings
Spin structure choice influences supersymmetry preservation.
Certain quotients preserve more supersymmetry depending on spin structure.
The study clarifies the geometric conditions for supersymmetry in these backgrounds.
Abstract
We explore the importance of the choice of spin structure in determining the amount of supersymmetry preserved by a symmetric M-theory background constructed by quotienting a supersymmetric Hpp-wave with a discrete subgroup in the centraliser of its isometry group.
