TL;DR
This paper discusses the concept of F-theory, proposing an extension of spacetime and introducing new particle structures, while acknowledging its provisional status and the need for further development.
Contribution
It presents arguments for F-theory with an enlarged spacetime signature and introduces a supersymmetric 27-plet of particles linked to exceptional geometry.
Findings
Proposes enlarging spacetime to (2,10) signature for F-theory.
Introduces a supersymmetric 27-plet of particles.
Highlights the provisional nature and future directions of F-theory.
Abstract
After a brief review of string and -Theory we point out some deficiencies. Partly to cure them, we present several arguments for ``-Theory'', enlarging spacetime to signature, following the original suggestion of C. Vafa. We introduce a suggestive Supersymmetric 27-plet of particles, associated to the exceptional symmetric hermitian space . Several possible future directions, including using projective rather than metric geometry, are mentioned. We should emphasize that -Theory is yet just a very provisional attempt, lacking clear dynamical principles.
