Corrections to the Fine Structure Constant in the Spacetime of a Cosmic String from the Generalized Uncertainty Principle
Forough Nasseri

TL;DR
This paper investigates how the generalized uncertainty principle causes corrections to the fine structure constant in the spacetime around a cosmic string, extending previous results to include cosmic string effects.
Contribution
It introduces a novel calculation of the fine structure constant corrections due to cosmic strings within the framework of the generalized uncertainty principle.
Findings
Corrections to the fine structure constant are derived in the presence of a cosmic string.
Results agree with previous findings when the cosmic string effect is absent.
The study extends the understanding of quantum effects in curved spacetime with topological defects.
Abstract
We calculate the corrections to the Fine Structure Constant in the spacetime of a cosmic string. These corrections stem from the generalized uncertainty principle. In the absence of a cosmic string our result here is in agreement with our previous result.
