Matrix Orientifolding and Models with Four or Eight Supercharges
Hiroshi Itoyama, Reiji Yoshioka

TL;DR
This paper classifies specific matrix models with four or eight supercharges obtained through ${f Z}_3$ orbifolding and orientifolding, expanding understanding of supersymmetric matrix models.
Contribution
It identifies and enumerates fifty matrix models with four or eight supercharges derived from higher supersymmetry models via orbifolding and orientifolding.
Findings
Fifty models with four or eight supercharges are classified.
Conditions for supersymmetry and orientifolding compatibility are clarified.
Models descend from eight plus eight supercharge matrix models.
Abstract
The conditions under which matrix orientifolding and supersymmetry transformations commute are known to be stringent. Here we present the cases possessing four or eight supercharges upon orbifolding followed by matrix orientifolding. These cases descend from the matrix models with eight plus eight supercharges. There are fifty in total, which we enumerate.
