Consistent ADD scenario with stabilized extra dimension
Mikhail N. Smolyakov

TL;DR
This paper presents a model with a stabilized extra dimension in a Brans-Dicke scalar field framework, where the four-dimensional Planck mass depends solely on brane potential parameters, simplifying stabilization.
Contribution
It introduces a straightforward method for stabilizing the size of an extra dimension in a brane-world scenario with a scalar field of Brans-Dicke type.
Findings
The model achieves stabilization of the extra dimension.
The four-dimensional Planck mass is determined by brane potential parameters.
The setup involves two branes with non-zero tension in a flat background.
Abstract
A model with one compact extra dimension and a scalar field of Brans-Dicke type in the bulk is discussed. It describes two branes with non-zero tension embedded into the space-time with flat background. This setup allows one to use a very simple method for stabilization of the size of extra dimension. It appears that the four-dimensional Planck mass is expressed only through parameters of the scalar field potentials on the branes.
