Special holonomy sigma models with boundaries
P.S. Howe, U. Lindstrom, V. Stojevic

TL;DR
This paper investigates (1,1) supersymmetric two-dimensional sigma models with boundaries on special holonomy spaces, analyzing boundary conditions and symmetry consistency for models with and without torsion.
Contribution
It provides a detailed analysis of boundary conditions and symmetry preservation in supersymmetric sigma models on special holonomy manifolds, including torsion effects.
Findings
Boundary conditions compatible with supersymmetry are identified.
Consistency conditions for symmetries are established.
Differences between torsion and torsion-free models are clarified.
Abstract
A study of (1,1) supersymmetric two-dimensional non-linear sigma models with boundary on special holonomy target spaces is presented. In particular, the consistency of the boundary conditions under the various symmetries is studied. Models both with and without torsion are discussed.
