TL;DR
This paper extends the analysis of tachyon condensation to intersecting brane-antibrane systems, relating supergravity solutions to physical parameters and confirming the mass captures the condensation process.
Contribution
It generalizes previous work to intersecting systems, relating supergravity parameters to microscopic brane numbers and tachyon vev, providing a comprehensive description of tachyon condensation.
Findings
Supergravity solutions characterized by five parameters.
Parameters related to brane numbers and tachyon vev.
Mass captures properties of tachyon condensation.
Abstract
We generalize our study of the tachyon condensation on the brane-antibrane system [hep-th/0403147] to the intersecting brane-antibrane system. The supergravity solutions of the intersecting brane-antibrane system are characterized by five parameters. We relate these parameters to the microscopic physical parameters, namely, the number of D-branes (), the number of -branes (), the number of D-branes (, the number of -branes () and the tachyon vev . We show that the solution and the ADM mass capture all the required properties and give a correct description of the tachyon condensation for the intersecting brane-antibrane system.
