Asymptotic Freedom and Infrared slavery in PT-symmetric Quantum Electrodynamics
R. Acharya, P. Narayana Swamy

TL;DR
This paper demonstrates that PT-symmetric Quantum Electrodynamics cannot be finite and always exhibits asymptotic freedom and infrared slavery, with the beta function negative for all positive coupling constants.
Contribution
It establishes the non-existence of finite PT-symmetric QED and characterizes its renormalization group behavior as always asymptotically free and infrared enslaved.
Findings
Beta function is negative for all positive alpha
PT-symmetric QED is not finite
Exhibits both asymptotic freedom and infrared slavery
Abstract
We establish that there is no finite PT-symmetric Quantum Electrodynamics (QED) and as a consequence the Callan-Symanzik function for all greater than zero: PT-symmetric QED exhibits both asymptotic freedom and infrared slavery.
