The fuzzball proposal for black holes: an elementary review
Samir D. Mathur

TL;DR
This paper provides an accessible overview of black holes in string theory, focusing on BPS states, entropy calculations, and the fuzzball model as a microscopic description of black hole interiors.
Contribution
It offers an elementary review of the fuzzball proposal and its relation to black hole microstates in string theory.
Findings
BPS black holes and their microstates are discussed.
The fuzzball picture explains black hole entropy microscopically.
The paper summarizes key developments in string theory black hole research.
Abstract
We give an elementary review of black holes in string theory. We discuss BPS holes, the microscopic computation of entropy and the `fuzzball' picture of the black hole interior suggested by microstates of the 2-charge system.
