Creation of Kink and Antikink Pairs Forced By Radiation
Tomasz Romanczukiewicz

TL;DR
This paper investigates how radiation influences the creation of kink and antikink pairs in a nonlinear scalar field, revealing fractal structures in parameter space and combining numerical and analytical approaches.
Contribution
It introduces a detailed analysis of radiation-induced kink-antikink pair creation, highlighting the role of vibrational modes and fractal structures in parameter space.
Findings
Radiation can induce kink-antikink pair creation in the $$ model.
Fractal structures in parameter space separate creation and non-creation regions.
Numerical results support analytical explanations of the process.
Abstract
The interaction between kink and radiation in nonlinear one-dimensional real scalar field is investigated. The process of discrete vibrational mode excitation in model is considered. The role of this oscillations in creation of kink and antikink is discussed. Numerical results are presented as well as some attempts of analytical explanations. An intriguing fractal structure in parameter space dividing regions with creation and without is also presented.
