Infra-Red Finite, Physical Electron Propagator in 2+1 Dimensions
Martin Lavelle, Zak Mazumder

TL;DR
This paper investigates the infra-red properties of a gauge-invariant description of charged particles in 2+1 dimensions, demonstrating finiteness of mass shift and wave function renormalisation on-shell.
Contribution
It introduces a physically motivated, gauge-invariant approach to analyze infra-red behaviour, showing finiteness of key quantities in 2+1 dimensions.
Findings
Mass shift is infra-red finite on-shell.
Wave function renormalisation is infra-red finite on-shell.
Provides a consistent framework for infra-red analysis in lower-dimensional gauge theories.
Abstract
In this paper we study the infra-red behaviour of a gauge invariant and physically motivated description of a charged particle in 2+1 dimensions. We show that both the mass shift and the wave function renormalisation are infra-red finite on-shell.
