Elementary particles, holography and the BMS group
Claudio Dappiaggi

TL;DR
This paper explores the idea that elementary particles in asymptotically flat space-times can be characterized as unitary irreducible representations of the BMS group, supporting the holographic principle's perspective.
Contribution
It analyzes the proposal to define elementary particles via the BMS group within the holographic framework, providing theoretical insights.
Findings
Supports the interpretation of elementary particles as BMS group representations
Provides a theoretical foundation for holographic descriptions in flat space-times
Suggests new avenues for understanding asymptotic symmetries and particle classification
Abstract
In the context of asymptotically flat space-times, it has been suggested to label elementary particles as unitary irreducible representations of the BMS group. We analyse this idea in the spirit of the holographic principle advocating the use of this definition.
