Michelle Cyrier, Monica Guica, David Mateos, and Andrew Strominger

TL;DR
This paper provides an exact microscopic calculation of the entropy of a newly discovered seven-parameter supersymmetric black ring in five-dimensional supergravity using M-theory.
Contribution
It offers the first microscopic entropy computation for this complex black ring solution, advancing understanding of black hole microstates in higher dimensions.
Findings
Exact microscopic entropy matches the Bekenstein-Hawking entropy.
New seven-parameter black ring solution characterized.
M-theory successfully accounts for black ring microstates.
Abstract
A surprising new seven-parameter supersymmetric black ring solution of five-dimensional supergravity has recently been discovered. In this paper, M-theory is used to give an exact microscopic accounting of its entropy.
