Chern-Simons matrix model for local conifold
V. Yasnov

TL;DR
This paper verifies the large N transition in the local conifold using a Chern-Simons two matrix model, deriving the spectral curve and free energy to support the theoretical proposal.
Contribution
It provides a detailed analysis of the large N transition for the local conifold through the Chern-Simons matrix model, including spectral curve and free energy calculations.
Findings
Spectral curve of the matrix model derived
Genus zero free energy computed
Supports the large N transition hypothesis
Abstract
We check the large N transition proposed by Aganagic and Vafa and further studied by Diaconescu, Florea and Grassi using the large N limit of the corresponding Chern-Simons two matrix model. We find the spectral curve and calculate the genus zero free energy.
