Braneworld cosmology almost without branes
Gianluca Calcagni

TL;DR
This paper reviews braneworld cosmologies with inflation driven by a brane-confined scalar field, focusing on their unique Friedmann equations, perturbation spectra, and observational implications.
Contribution
It provides a comprehensive review of nonstandard Friedmann equations and their observational consequences in braneworld inflation models.
Findings
Analysis of perturbation spectra in braneworld scenarios
Discussion of observational signatures of nonstandard Friedmann equations
Comparison with standard cosmological models
Abstract
We review some general aspects of braneworld cosmologies in which an inflationary period driven by a scalar field confined on the brane is described by a nonstandard effective Friedmann equation. The perturbation spectra, consistency equations and observational consequences of these models are considered.
