Unification of Higgs and Maxwell fields in Brane-Kaluza-Klein gravity
S. Jalalzadeh, H. R. Sepangi

TL;DR
This paper explores how Higgs and electromagnetic fields can be unified within higher-dimensional gravity frameworks, emphasizing the roles of large and small extra dimensions and their impact on gauge field localization.
Contribution
It demonstrates a unification scheme for Higgs and Maxwell fields in brane-world models with extra dimensions, linking field origins to dimensional structure.
Findings
Higgs and electromagnetic fields originate from extra dimensions.
Localization of gauge fields depends on junction conditions.
Unification provides insights into higher-dimensional gravity theories.
Abstract
The unification of Higgs and electromagnetic fields in the context of higher dimensional gravity is studied. We show that these fields arise from an extra large dimension together with a compact small dimension. The question of the localization of the gauge fields and their relation to junction conditions is also addressed.
