TL;DR
This paper explores how the AdS/CFT correspondence can generate quiver gauge theories, specifically non-supersymmetric models with chiral fermions, and discusses potential unification at a few TeV scale.
Contribution
It demonstrates how abelian orbifolds with finite groups can produce realistic gauge theories with chiral matter, advancing unification models beyond traditional grand unification scales.
Findings
Proposes a non-supersymmetric $G = U(N)^p$ gauge theory from orbifolds.
Suggests unification scale around 4 TeV based on $Z$ resonance measurements.
Identifies specific parameters $p=12$ and $N=3$ for model consistency.
Abstract
The use of the AdS/CFT correspondence to arrive at quiver gauge field theories is discussed. An abelian orbifold with the finite group can give rise to a nonsupersymmetric gauge theory with chiral fermions and complex scalars in different bi-fundamental representations of . The precision measurements at the resonance suggest the values and , and a unifications scale TeV. Dedicated to the 65th birthday of Pran Nath.
