Two-flux Colliding Plane Waves in String Theory
Bin Chen, Jun-Feng Zhang

TL;DR
This paper constructs and analyzes two-flux colliding plane wave solutions in higher-dimensional string-inspired gravity, revealing that only Bell-Szekeres type solutions are physically consistent and that singularities inevitably form.
Contribution
It introduces new colliding plane wave solutions with two fluxes in higher-dimensional gravity, identifying physical constraints and singularity development.
Findings
Only Bell-Szekeres type solutions are physically well-defined.
Future curvature singularities always develop in these solutions.
Solutions extend understanding of flux interactions in string-inspired gravity.
Abstract
We construct the two-flux colliding plane wave solutions in higher dimensional gravity theory with dilaton, and two complementary fluxes. Two kinds of solutions has been obtained: Bell-Szekeres(BS) type and homogeneous type. After imposing the junction condition, we find that only Bell-Szekeres type solution is physically well-defined. Furthermore, we show that the future curvature singularity is always developed for our solutions.
