TL;DR
This paper constructs regular and black hole solutions in a five-dimensional higher curvature Einstein-Yang-Mills-Grassmannian system, revealing new regular solutions supported by the Grassmannian field and analyzing their singular behaviors.
Contribution
It introduces a modified higher curvature EYM model with a Grassmannian field that admits regular solutions in flat space, extending previous models.
Findings
Regular solutions supported by Grassmannian field in 5D
Persistence of singular behavior in modified model
Analysis of flat space Grassmannian solutions
Abstract
We construct both regular and black hole spherically symmetric solutions to the original higher curvature EYM model augmented by a Grassmannian sigma model field in spacetime dimensions. Unlike the original model, the new model supports regular solutions in the flat space limit. We find that a peculiar singular behaviour of the solutions in the original model, persists in the case of the modified model too. A study of the solutions to the Grassmannian model in flat space is also carried out.
